Why does a Jew need Yeshua?
The Jewish people for thousands of years have looked forward to the coming of their Messiah. It is of Jewish belief to want and to believe in the Messiah. G-d came first to the Jewish people and gave them his Torah to make them separate among the Nations. G-d has also sent his Messiah to the Jewish people first. Most of us can agree that Jews need their Messiah and have always looked forward to the coming of the Messiah.

So now we should ask ourselves is Jesus the Jewish Messiah? Is it possible the Jewish people have missed the return of the Messiah? If we have missed him, how can we tell who is the Messiah of Israel and the savior of the world? The Messiah would have to fulfill the biblical prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures.

What if I were to tell you that the Messiah has already come? Was it foretold that the majority of the Jewish people would be unable to recognize the Messiah when he came?

The Lord said in the Torah and through the prophets, that due to Israel's unfaithfulness and stubborn unbelief, he would call many from among the Gentiles who would be joined to the remnant of his faithful assembly in order to provoke unfaithful Israel to jealousy. Deuteronomy 32:21

The Messiah was to come before the 2nd Temple was destroyed and be cut off (die).

"Know, therefore, and discern that seven weeks (of years) will elapse between the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim until an anointed prince comes. It will remain built for sixty-two weeks (of years) with open spaces and moats; but these will be troubled times. Then, after the sixty-two weeks, Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. The people of a prince yet to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary..." Daniel 9:25-26a

Daniel states that after the Temple was rebuilt, the Messiah would come and then "the prince of the people who is to come" would destroy it again. So the Messiah had to come to the Second Temple before it was destroyed, and he did, just as it is written in the word of G-d.

In the 12th Century AD, Rabbi Moses Ben Maimon (Maimonides), one of the most respected rabbis in history, and a man who rejected the messianic claim of Yeshua, made a remarkable statement that many scholars believe is a reference to Daniels 70-weeks prophecy.

"Daniel has elucidated to us the knowledge of the end times. However, since they are secret, the wise (rabbis) have barred the calculation of the days of Messiahs coming so that the untutored populace will not be led astray when they see that the End Times have already come but there is no sign of the Messiah." (Igeret Teiman, Chapter 3 p 24.)

Due to Israels unfaithfulness and stubborn unbelief (Deuteronomy 32:21)

The Messiah came right on time, just as prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures. He came to the second temple riding on a donkey.

The Talmud (Rabbinic Commentary) which is a very important book in Judaism states that if Israel was ready, the Messiah would come in the clouds, but if Israel was not ready he would come lowly and riding on a donkey. It is obvious that Israel was not ready.

The Talmud also states that `if anyone saw a donkey in his dreams, he will see salvation' (Ber 56 b).

Rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Tziyon! Shout out loud, daughter of Yerushalayim! Look! Your King is coming to you. He is righteous, and he is victorious. Yet he is humble-hes riding on a donkey, yes, on a lowly donkeys colt.

Yes there was a donkey and there is Salvation and Salvation means Yeshua in Hebrew. The Messiah himself is our Salvation! The Messiah is our Yeshua!

Is it possible for 2000 years that Jewish and non-Jewish people painted Jesus to be a different kind of Messiah other than the Jewish Messiah? Have they turned the belief of Jesus into a separate religion other than Judaism? Yes that is exactly what happened. As more Gentiles came into this Jewish belief, they brought with them there pagan practices. Since the belief in the Messiah was a Jewish belief, people and the organized Church stopped or abolished teachings and commandments from G-d and anti-Semitic theologies against the Jews took hold. This separation led to the many horrific atrocities committed against the Jewish people in the name of Jesus. Jesus Christ which many people have come to put their trust in today is non-other than the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach! Today, non-Jewish believers are coming to know Jesus as their Jewish Messiah by a move of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) and are growing in love for Israel and the Jewish people through whom the gentiles have been blessed.

It is through the Jewish Messiah and the power of the Ruach HaKodesh that the Jewish people will have redemption and the Law written on their hearts. The Messiah was to come before the second temple was destroyed, and the Messiah did come before the second Temple was destroyed. Who fulfilled the prophecy and many others? Only Yeshua the Messiah fulfilled the prophecies and is the light to many non-Jewish people and a growing number of Jewish population as well.

I will go and return to my place, till they admit their guilt and search for me, seeking me eagerly in their distress. Hoshea 5:15

We must come to know his Son, the Messiah, to have a personal relationship with the G-d of Israel! Do Jews need a middle man to come before G-d? A Jew needs a divinely ordained agent to go to G-d on his/her behalf.

When G-d gave the Torah he said in no uncertain terms that only the descendants of Aaron (priests) could enter the Most Holy Place and perform the annual atonement rituals. In a general sense a Jew can pray to G-d and cry out to him, but without priestly atonement and intercession, no Jew has direct access to G-d.

Only the Jewish people two thousand years ago would know of their need of a middleman or priest for intercession to the G-d almighty on their behalf.

"In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by G-d. But he was wounded because of our crimes, the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed."Yesha'Yahu (Isaiah) 53:4-5

G-d also used prophets to communicate his will to the people. When he spoke directly and audibly to the Hebrews at Mt. Sinai, they were terrified and begged him to stop.

All the people experienced the thunder, the lightning, the sound of the shofar, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled. Standing at a distance, they said to Moshe, You speak with us; and we will listen. But dont let G-d speak with us, or we will die. Exodus 20:18-19

The Jewish people (as well as the non-Jewish) need the divinely appointed One to bring them into a right relationship with G-d. Through the Messiah our High Priest, we have been brought into a unique relationship with G-d since Yeshua HaMashiach has opened the door to the Most Holy Place in heaven itself.

The Messiah has come as this suffering servant and will return once again as the ruling King.

Observe justice, do what is right, for my salvation is close to coming, my righteousness to being revealed. Isaiah 56:1

Today G-ds salvation has come and his righteousness has been revealed!

If you know in your heart that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel, then accept him as your Lord and Savior, ask for forgiveness from all your sin, and invite him into your heart and life and tell Yeshua HaMashiach that you want to serve him for the rest of your life!

If you are still not sure what to think, then ask the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Ask G-d to show you the truth and to show you if Yeshua is the true Messiah. If you truly seek an answer, G-d will truly give you one.
